I Plugged a $20 ESP32 Into Claude Code: No Manuals

Creator Magic just covered a wild experiment where he plugged cheap ESP32 boards into Claude Code to see if the AI could figure out the firmware without any manuals or tutorials. It’s an interesting look at how these tiny chips, like the $20 Waveshare ESP32-C6 display and the $18 "Cheap Yellow Display," can be programmed entirely through AI prompts. Beyond those boards, he also tinkered with a $26 e-paper display and a few other components, including 3.7V 3000mAh LiPo batteries. Watching the AI navigate the hardware setup on its own was pretty unexpected and makes you realize how much easier these DIY electronics projects are becoming.
